Nan’s Pickled Onions

Ingredients

  • 4lb onions
  • 1/2 lb soft brown sugar
  • 1 Tbl spoon dry mustard
  • 1 Tea spoon
  • 1 Tea spoon pepper
  • 1 quart vinegar.

Method

  1. Peel onions put salt.pepper,mustard in pan
  2. Use some vinegar to make paste gradually add rest of vinegar and add sugar
  3. Bring to boil when cool pour over onions.
  4. Ready in 3 weeks.
