Satay Sauce

Ingredients

  • 100g Crunchy Peanut Butter
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 100g Creamed Coconut
  • 1 Small Onion
  • 1 Tbsp of Lime Juice
  • 1 tsp of Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 150ml Water
  • 2 Tbsp Peanut Oil

Method

  1. Finely chop onion and fry in peanut oil on medium heat until softened
  2. Stir in peanut butter and chilli powder, gradually adding the water
  3. Add the creamed coconut and stir continuously until mixed
  4. Leave on heat for 5 min, stirring regularly
  5. Add more water if the sauce becomes too thick.
  6. Finally add the soy sauce and lime juice and fully mix
